When Politics Was Sidelined

In their Monday, October 19, 2009 edition, the Los Angeles Times published a story about the Manzanar High School football team that played against Big Pine High School back on October 25, 1944.

Back then, because the members of the Manzanar team were prisoners, they were not allowed to leave the camp, so the Big Pine team had to go to Manzanar to play the game.
